Overview

Timeless and enriching, Longitude 131° is one of the most iconic luxury lodges in Australia. Located at the gateway of the dual World Heritage listed wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, this superb boutique resort provides its guests with an experience they will never forget. Featuring fifteen individual Luxury Tents and one Dune Pavilion, Longitude 131° offers an essential experience of Australia’s spiritual heartland, in Baillie Lodges’ exclusive style.

Surrounded by rugged desert and wilderness, Longitude 131° offers full immersion in the Australian outback. From the moment you arrive you will begin to absorb the peace and solitude of this magical destination. Days can be spent exploring the spirited land of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park where you will be exposed to an expansive living cultural landscape while learning the stories of its Aboriginal custodians.

Come face to face with native vegetation, wonder at the prehistoric sights on a Valley of the Winds walk or perhaps enjoy one of the many trips from the exceptional touring programme designed exclusively for guests. For those that simply want to relax, head to a sun lounge by the outdoor swimming pool where you can enjoy an ice cold drink and take in the outstanding picture postcard views of Australia’s iconic sandstone monolith.

The heart of the lodge, the Dune House, features a restaurant with ever-changing views of Uluru as a backdrop for every meal. Serving contemporary Australian cuisine, with an emphasis on modern and indigenous flavours, you can choose to dine in the beautiful Dune House with its panoramic views or perhaps indulge in an intimate four-course dinner for two served with the finest wines under a glittering canopy of stars.

The Dune House’s contemporary lounging area also has an open bar where you can relax with a drink and exchange stories of the day’s adventures in the outback. In addition, there is also an exclusive day spa on-site, Spa Kinara, where you can experience a sense of true calm and of being at one with the red landscape with a signature menu of relaxing and rejuvenating treatments.

Luxury Tent

Each of the individually designed luxury tents is named after a celebrated Australian explorer or wilderness pioneer, and each is adorned with relevant memorabilia on the walls. Meticulously designed to remain cool in the summer and warm in the winter, each pavilion comprises of a lavish king size bed or twin beds, a beautifully appointed and spacious ensuite bathroom, iPad and entertainment system, and floor to ceiling windows, so you can enjoy the dramatic sunrise and sunset from the comfort of your bed.

Dune Pavilion

Architecturally designed as a modern interpretation of the Australian homestead, the Dune Pavilion is the country’s only accommodation offering views of both World Heritage-listed Uluru and Kata Tjuta. This luxurious suite features a separate living area and two king size bedrooms, each boasting an ensuite bathroom and custom furnishings and artworks commissioned from local artists. The Dune Pavilion also features its own fireplace, bathroom with deep tub, an outdoor deck with day bed, and a private plunge pool overlooking the outback frontier.

For a more immersive experience, why not choose to sleep under the stars? Each accommodation offers a balcony with a comfortable daybed, a romantic EcoSmart fireplace and breathtaking uninterrupted views of Uluru. Simply unforgettable.
