1. Booking Terms

These Terms of Service outline the relationship between you and View Retreats Pty Ltd as trustee for The View Retreats Trust ABN 56 219 876 466 (“View Retreats”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) in relation to the provision of booking services and other Services as outlined below. By using the Services, you agree that you are at least 18 years old and have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and our Supplier terms & conditions.

2. Services

View Retreats provides the following Services:

  • Tailor-made holiday booking services via third-party providers
  • Gift cards for booking travel services.
  • Content creation on wellness, travel, and lifestyle topics.
  • Advertising, affiliate links, and sponsored content.

3. Travel and Booking Services

View Retreats facilitates bookings with third-party Suppliers. By making a booking, you enter into a contractual relationship with the Supplier. All bookings are subject to the Supplier’s terms and conditions provided at the time of booking. Supplier terms should be read in conjunction with the following terms:

a. Quotations

Customers begin the booking process by lodging an online enquiry after viewing example itineraries on the Site. A View Retreats representative will contact you via email and/or phone to begin the consultation process. If you decide to proceed, we will issue a Quotation. This can be accepted by paying a deposit or full payment as specified in the Quotation. We reserve the right to withdraw the Quotation at any time before issuing confirmation.

b. Bookings, Deposits, and Payments

Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment by the Supplier. A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to book, with full payment due 90 days before departure. If the Booking is made within 90 days of departure, full payment is due at the time of Booking. The deposit amount and payment terms may vary if certain products or services are added to the holiday itinerary, or if the booking is made over special periods. This will be advised in the Quotation and trip notes.

c. Changes and Cancellations by the Customer

Changes to bookings after confirmation may incur additional fees. Cancellations must be in writing and are subject to fees:

  • 91 days or more: 20% of total cost
  • 90 to 61 days: 50% of total cost
  • 60 to 31 days: 75% of total cost
  • 30 to 0 days: 100% of total cost
d. Changes or Cancellations by View Retreats

We may make changes or cancellations due to factors outside our control. Significant changes will be communicated, and options provided for accepting changes, purchasing an alternative holiday, or receiving a full refund. View Retreats shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, acts of terrorism, pandemics, labor strikes, governmental actions, or interruptions in internet or communications services.

e. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive Travel insurance is highly recommended for all local and international travel bookings to provide cover for any unforeseen circumstances. Travel insurance is available to purchase on the Site via third-party Suppliers. Before purchasing insurance, you should read the product disclosure statement thoroughly and consider whether the insurance is suitable for your needs. If you purchase insurance:
You enter into a contract in respect of that insurance directly with the third-party Supplier.
View Retreats does not act as an insurer or provide that insurance to you.

View Retreats has no responsibility for and excludes all liability in relation to that insurance, including in relation to any claims made by you under it.

f. Customer Obligations

You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. Special requests must be communicated in writing. You are responsible for ensuring the suitability of booked services and complying with relevant laws and regulations. It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel arrangements and activities comply with the laws of the destination.

4. Gift Cards

View Retreats offers gift cards that can be purchased and used to pay for View Retreats Travel & Booking Services. In terms of gift cards, our role is limited to facilitating payment for the Service(s) you select from our Supplier(s). Normal Supplier terms and conditions apply to all gift card bookings.

a. Purchasing a Gift Card

A gift card can be purchased via the View Retreats website for any amount in AUD only. A surcharge of up to 1.9% applies for payments made via Credit Card. When you purchase a gift card for another individual, you warrant that you are authorised to provide their personal information for the purposes set out in our privacy policy. This includes, for example, using their email address to verify their identity or undertake redemption of their gift card.

b. Redeeming a Gift Card

Gift Cards can only be redeemed through a View Retreats customer service representative within the validity period by phoning (+61) 1300 368 337 or emailing [email protected]. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed through the website booking engine nor directly with accommodation Suppliers. Gift cards can be used as part or full payment for any View Retreats booking.
Gift Cards cannot be purchased for a specific holiday or individual accommodation as prices vary according to dates and availability. All bookings are subject to availability, these website Terms of Services, the Supplier(s) terms & conditions. Gift Cards are not transferable nor redeemable for cash.

c. Gift Card Issue & Reissues

An electronic PDF gift card is issued within 24 business hours of purchase. It will be sent to the purchaser via email. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to provide correct details during the order process. Gift Cards can be reissued upon confirmation of the original purchase details. For security reasons, we will only reissue a Gift Card to the purchaser.


d. Gift Card Expiry, Extensions & Cancellations

The expiry date for gift cards is 36 months from the date of purchase. If you are unable to redeem your gift card within the 3-year validity, we will extend the expiry date by 6 months upon request. To extend the validity of a gift card you must contact us for an extension prior to the expiry date. We are unable to redeem or reissue expired gift cards under any circumstances. Any unused balance upon expiry cannot be credited or refunded. If you cancel a booking made with a gift card, and the booking is refundable, any amount refunded will be provided in the form of a gift card with the same expiry date as the original gift card.


e. Gift Card Refunds & Remaining Balances

Gift card purchases are non-refundable at all times. Remaining balances will remain on file for the validity of the gift card and can be put towards future purchases. Gift Cards & remaining balances are non-transferable or redeemable for cash.

5. Website Information & Usage

a. Website Information

Most of the content on our website is developed based on our own experience, opinions, and research. However, some content is supplied by Suppliers and edited by us. This is particularly the case with sponsored content, which must comply with our strict editorial guidelines. We do not guarantee the accuracy of information about products or services, and we cannot be held responsible for issues with third parties. Customers are responsible for checking details and making sure products and services are suitable for their situation. Terms vary for every travel product. You should read all of the terms and conditions specific to the travel product you are booking before you finalise your Booking. View Retreats makes no representation that quoted product rates are identical to or better than rates available on other travel websites.

b. Site Usage

The Site, including Website Information and HTML code, is provided for the purpose of personal use only. Any other use, commercial or otherwise, without express written permission, is strictly prohibited including any monitoring, reproduction, hot-linking, scraping, data mining, automated querying, or similar data extraction techniques.

c. Affiliate Links, Recommendations, and Endorsements

Our Site contains affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through these links. This does not affect the price you pay. View Retreats disclaims any liability for any issues arising from the use of these services.


d. External Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources. While we provide these links for convenience, View Retreats disclaims any responsibility for the content or services provided by these third parties. Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.


6. Copyright

Images and text throughout the Site are copyright protected. Images may not be reproduced, copied, transmitted, or manipulated without the written permission of the respective copyright holders. Often our images are sourced via third parties (like affiliate platforms, social media users, or directly from a hotel). In these cases, we have sought and been given permission to use their images and we have credited them on the website.

7. Privacy

View Retreats is committed to protecting your personal information. By using our services, you agree to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Feedback & Complaints

Feedback and complaints relating to our Site or services should be directed to [email protected]. Feedback and complaints relating to accommodation and associated services should be addressed immediately with the Supplier. Where necessary, a follow-up written complaint should be sent directly to the Supplier within 7 days. Any grievance or complaint leading to a dispute is strictly between you and the Supplier. View Retreats will not act on behalf of you or the Supplier in a dispute.



9. Changes to Terms and Services

These terms may be updated without notice. Continued use of the site signifies acceptance of the updated terms. View Retreats reserves the right to modify or discontinue the services offered on the Site at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the services.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you for any losses, damages, or costs arising from or in connection with your booking, use of our services, or these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the booking. View Retreats shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold View Retreats, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the services, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or rights of a third party.

12. Provisions

If any term is invalid, the remaining terms remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms or the services provided shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the services provided by View Retreats shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Victoria, Australia, in accordance with the rules of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA). The parties agree to bear their own costs of arbitration.

15. Key Terms

“View Retreats” means View Retreats Pty Ltd as trustee for The View Retreats Trust ABN 56 219 876 466.
“Site” refers to the website and subdomains of viewretreats.com.
“Supplier” means the provider of travel products, services, or experiences, and where the context permits, their authorised agents.
“Terms” means these Terms of Service.
“Booking” means a confirmed reservation.
”Quotation” means the detailed pricing provided to the customer, specifying the cost, deposit amount, and payment schedule for the services requested.
